I am doing my End of Year report for my Line manager. He is fairly easy going guy but I am not sure he will appreciate me dropping F-bombs every with any sentence about test environments. Think I will need to edit said passages.

Met a couple of the BA's on our project this morning.They sent over some info which I am reading now. There is some great terminology already such as data will be stored I'm something called "datalake". I am looking forward to taking a wee paddle in the datlake later.

...and do not even get me started about taking away the access to db while they load stuff in. No warning..just get booted out and have to wait a few hours. Today has been a day.

The standard approach of enviroment db managment with this project is 'oh yea we are doing something with tables' as they are doing it rather than saying 'we are about screw your db comparison cars for a bit..please ignore the mess' warning.

I almost got into the debate about using how many test cases you have run metric to prove the quality of the software. I wanted to try and get away from that..think it fell on deaf ears. Oh well.
