District leaders presented plans for a new CTE audio‑visual production suite — a simulated media‑agency environment with studio, control room, editing suites, podcast booths and a 13×30‑foot LED wall — that will expand AV pathways, offer practicum and internship placements and prioritize student work alongside district communications.

Staff told the THECB advisory panel they plan to streamline hundreds of CTE courses so that four high-school CTE courses better map to stackable level-1 certificates and associate pathways at community colleges.

Trustees approved an amendment to the district's District of Innovation to permit local certification pathways for Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructors, a step staff said will protect roughly $250,000 in CTE funding and expand the applicant pool.
