Over 100 arms graced the bump in Long Beach for the Area Code Games, and many stood out, but I wanted to breakdown a few that really captured my attention. So in this piece, I will be doing an early deep dive into three arms who look to be notable figures of this prep arms group, which looks to be a pretty strong one from this point in time. ### **RHP George Ferguson** > RHP George Ferguson (TX) @TexasBaseball commit. > > 2 IP, 3 Ks > > FB 94-96 2500-2700 > CH 86-88 1650-1800 > SL 82-84 2500@ProspectsLive pic.twitter.com/K18Yl503PL > > — Will Dodge (@willtdodge) August 6, 2026 George Ferguson is a physical prep RHP with a power FB/CH combo who attacks hitters with considerable force. Ferguson is reported at 6'3/210, with big shoulders and a lower half with mobility and the capacity for strength gains. He throws from a slightly above-average release point and with extension. Ferguson achieves this despite a strong sink into his back leg while loading his energy to stride down the mound; however, in that stride, he almost immediately springs out of the squat, and his upper-body tilt negates the potential flat approach angle created. Ferguson lacks intriguing footspeed or flexibility in his frame, with notable muscle mass at present, which makes a potential tweak to his stride in that low-to-the-ground stance difficult. If he were to become more flexible, it's an interesting note. He's presently a power athlete, but should he change that, there are unique traits Ferguson can unlock. ### This post is for subscribers only Become a member to get access to all content Subscribe now
