A timely mudlarking ritual, the return of unwanted finds - clay pipe bowls, colourful pottery sherds spanning centuries, smoothed glass, ancient floor tile fragments - to the Thames Foreshore where they were once found. These will eventually and slowly be washed away on subsequent tides.
