Having said that, he's earned the right to take his bow and make his final call on his terms. Even though the fan in me is hurting, nothing, but respect for this man. #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose

This is one of the last pieces of my childhood that has remained all these years even as I've lost people close to me. It's not going to be the same without Howie Rose on the call. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks #Mets

At least with the streaming version I'm able to sync the radio feed and I will admit, much love to the SNY crew, but even as he's scaled back in recent years, more often then not, I have the SNY feed for video and Howie on the audio. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks #Mets

I grew up with Howie Rose on TV either WWOR channel 9 or SportsChannel back in the 80's up until I moved south and then I watched him when he was still doing TV when the cable version of this package first became available many years ago. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks #Mets

This obviously wasn't available to me when I subscribed to the cable/satellite version of the package, but ever since the launch of SNY in 2006, Howie was moved to the radio broadcast from TV and Gary Cohen was moved from radio to TV and that's the way it's been ever since. #HowieRose #ThankYouHowie

One of the features the MLB TV app has, which has also been made available on the ESPN app version of the package, is it will let you sync the audio feed from a team's radio broadcast with the video feed of that team's TV broadcast. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks #Mets

I am going to have a hard time whenever next season is with the lockout likely coming without Howie. To let one know how much I respect the man, I subscribe to MLB TV every year strictly for out of market games so I can watch my #Mets. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks

Just a guess, but if they're cancelling the ceremony honoring Howie on what's supposed to be his final day before retirement, it doesn't sound like they're playing today. - #ThankYouHowie #HowieRose #PutItInTheBooks #Mets
