Book 15 of #The52BookChallenge2025 #The52BookChallenge “Mistborn”

Worthy of the hype. The Kelsier character gives “Lies of Locke Lamora” vibes but viewing much of the story through the eyes of Vin in her “coming of age” arc was really smart. An engaging read with fantastic world building.

Book 15 of #The52BookChallenge2025 #The52BookChallenge “Mistborn: The Final Empire” This is one of those books I’ve been meaning to read for AGES and just needed a push. It’s worthy of the hype. The Kelsier character gives “Lies of Locke Lamora” vibes but viewing much of the story through the eyes of Vin in her “coming of age” story arc was really smart. It turned dialog that would otherwise feel expository into a training session and allowed the reader to feel their way through the mysteries alongside her. An engaging read with fantastic world building and a unique mechanism of magic. 4 stars
