But, it's not as #SummerOfDarkness as #TheBreakingPoint - If you have not seen this one, you are in for an unsung classic. #TCMParty

Another thing that I adore about #TheBreakingPoint is the character of Wesley Park - brilliantly played by Juano Hernandez. Interracial relationships (of equals) weren't all that common in films of this era. He was also great in "Intruder in the Dust" (R).

Hemingway reportedly praised the film as the best adaptation of any of his books. High praise from someone who famously hated the majority of the movie adaptation of his novels. The only other film he actually liked was the adaptation of his short story The Killers.

A #NoirAlley presentation of #TheBreakingPoint back in 2017 made me a major fan of film noir. It isn't a stereotypical noir, but boy does it cuts deep. It also proves the point that noir is more than simply the tropes.
