So, according to the #Libby library app, one of my all-time favourite novels is to become a major #BBCDrama starring Bemedict Cumberbatch.
#IanMcEwan's #TheChildInTime.
Rather excited to learn more.

Third McEwan. Not sure how I feel about this. Felt there was a lot of padding but that implies there is a central plot that is being added to. More a series of scenes. Typical McEwan prose but perhaps not as penetrating/illuminating as it could be. Not without worth though. #TheChildInTime

2025 challenge: one #book a day.
Day 55: #TheChildInTime by #IanMcEwan
Stephen & Julie break up after their #kid is #kidnapped. One day Stephen sees his #parents in as a young couple; her mum sees him back and decides to continue her #pregnancy. #ReverseCausality? More than that.
A #MASTERPIECE.
