CD#290 #TheDelgados #TheGreatEastern another album, from 2000 this time, that I have no recollection of. It’s much better than the last one. Sweetly sung melodies over highly orchestrated pop music. The cover sticker says it was nominated for a Mercury. Probably why I have it.

The latest Rock N Roll Receipt is for the exceptionally brilliant album ‘The Great Eastern’ by the Delgados.

If you’ve never heard it, you really need to give this Mercury Music Prize nominated record a spin.
