#TheInternetArchive
I made a new subreddit.

reddit.com/r/theinterne...

I'll be posting exclusively in there about Internet Archive stuff for the forseeable future.

The Internet Archive is the most important site on the internet. It's the Great Library of Alexandria of our day. I'm proud to support the work they do. #theinternetarchive

Let /r/internetarchive be the Mad Max of Conspiracy Subreddits, I honestly don't care, but I feel something useful could come of /r/theinternetarchive. Help me out with that, let me know what else you run on reddit. jscott@archive.org.

I've created /r/theinternetarchive and attempted to keep that thing in a better state, but I'm really, really busy with actual The Internet Archive stuff. So I'm now seeking experienced mods who want to help run it, really make it nice, cover useful information, keep rampant made-up stuff out.

Watch please. This is an important story. 5 mins. The Wayback Machine. @brewster.kahle.org #CBSNewsSunday. Can't rewrite history if it can't be erased once it has been published. "Time machine for the web." Since 1996. #TheInternetArchive #TheWayBackMachine
Did you catch the story about the Wayback Machine on CBS News Sunday Morning? 🌞 David Pogue chatted with @brewster.kahle.org about archiving the web, and the lawsuits from publishers & the recording industry that threaten our mission & your access to information. Watch: cbsnews.com/news/the-way...
The Wayback Machine, a time machine for the web
Because the web is ephemeral, the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine has made backups of websites continually since 1996, with nearly 900 billion pages preserved. But making books and music freely ava...

I love The Internet Archive FREE option to borrow books I couldn't else afford to buy or find - it's one of the rare and precious remaining nonpartisan spaces dedicated to make culture accessible! Please use them and fight so they can survive. #internet #cultureaccess #free #theinternetarchive

Speaking of Twitter archives, had anybody noticed how twitter pages don't work properly on theinternetarchive? or is that just a me problem lol

A fun update to The Archive coming very soon.

As part of my cleaning up of Twitter, it's important that the things I've said continues to exist in some form. All 4.6k posts will be available in an easily searchable way

Hell of a find for #ForteanFriday this week. The Faded Disks project over on #TheInternetArchive has a good seven or more hours of original lectures by the leading lights of early #UFOlogy all on one album. Grey Barker, John Keel and more. Good stuff for sure.

I have found so much great stuff (way beyond movies and TV) on the Internet Archive I started donating to it. Hot tip though: skip their on-site search. Use your preferred search engine and type in theinternetarchive*dot*com: [whatever you're looking for]

When I'm not messing about with tapes or music contributions, I like to scan magazines and other print media to contribute to #TheInternetArchive.

Doing this means I get to discover some really great photographs, like this night shot of The Great Seto Bridge from 1986 printed in an auotmotive mag

I'm still not informed as to who attacked #TheInternetArchive but you are the worst of the worst. I sincerely hope each of you stub your toes every day for the rest of your miserable lives.

Who attacks a library? A service for the benefit of all, and you cowards attack it. Pure cowardice.
