BTW, George C Scott's car is a 1957 BMW 503 Cabriolet, probably with an aftermarket supercharger. BMW built only 413 503's, 139 of them were cabriolets. #TCMParty #TheLastRun #CarsInCinema

Damn, one of only 139 ever made, and who knows how many were still extant by 1971. I hope they used a stunt car for that final destructo-careen through the Portuguese fishing town, but judging from the budget and general vibe, I'm guessing not. 😢 #TheLastRun #TCMParty

Tonight's shenanigans. Superb film. Alan Sharp's script is as on-point as his scripts for NIGHT MOVES and ULZANA'S RAID (imo). Desperately needs a good BD or 4k (yes, please!) release.

The production history of "The Last Run" is REALLY something:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Las...
John Huston started, he and his son rewrote the script, things didn't work out. Then, they shut down production for a week and hired Richard Fleischer to sort things out.

If you want a "Transporter" / "Drive" / "The Last Run" movie that is great and that is less seen, see Walter Hill's "The Driver." It is SO great!
