Ok. I'm now on episode 11 and it is all starting to gel up. Essentially this guy catches amnesia, like a bitch catch a cold. 🫠

I'm around episode 8 and I am confusion about the timelines and flashbacks. This does have 15 episodes though, so there is still time for everything to get sorted, so I guess I'll trust the process.

There was a lot to enjoy about this series, though I do think that last episode could've been an email.

Completed the #bl #TheMissingPiece. It was at times a bit hard to navigate, but no so hard that I couldn't figure it out. It did wrap up nicely & ended with them being sweet and domesticated. Even with the faults, I still enjoy being able to watch #ChineseBL!
The End.

This climax continues to make everyone painfully dumb. Mingxuan just remembered the phone tracking app? It doesn't occur to the Zhous that Mingxuan could find Shen Mo using Shen Mo's phone? Please speed run this stupidity. #TheMissingPieceEP15 #TheMissingPiece

They gotta do better with these flashbacks. Turn the screen a hazy color, or make it fuzzy around the edges, something! I'll be moving along swimmingly, then for 15mins be confused af as to why they bringing up old shit in a secondary location, for it to hit me we in a flashback

Another bl in which nothing was like it seemed at first... i love stories with shifting narrative & dynamics. The time jumps were a bit much and edit messy in middle but overall entertaining, captivating & touching love story 💙 convincing acting from both leads 🥰

I've seen significantly better BLs than this one. But that being said, it was super hot, kinda kinky, decently acted, not actively annoying or upsetting, and only boring towards the end. Which puts it higher in the rankings than many. #TheMissingPiece

So Shen Mo used himself as bait. Maybe letting yourself fall into the clutches of a family that nearly killed you isn't the brightest idea since they could, you know, kill you. #TheMissingPieceEP15 #TheMissingPiece

As with so many series now, I could've done without the bits of AI bullshit scattered throughout (the "paintings" were especially painful).
I enjoyed the acting, and I loved the dynamic of the first few episodes. Honestly give me a full series of that. #TheMissingPiece

Overall, I thought it struck a good balance of angsty enough to be juicy without being so angsty it becomes stressful to watch.
The focus was consistently on how small and vulnerable and pretty and helpless Shen Mo was in a variety of Situations, and I appreciate that. #TheMissingPiece

The plot is batshit - was it three different amnesias that Shen Mo suffered? And two kidnappings? And time skips totalling 7 years? I lost count of the hospitalisations, police incidents etc... but it was all in the service of whump, and I am a certified enjoyer of men's tears, so 🤷 #TheMissingPiece
