⛪️ #LeMonacheDiSantArcangelo wasn't my first foray into #nunsploitation since surely Paul Verhoeven's Benedetta counts. 🫣 Pretty impressive production values for an exploitation film I'll admit. 😯 But not terribly titillating I must say despite a fair share of T&A. #TheNunAndTheDevil 📽️🎞️
Poster for the Italian nunsploitation film/historical costume drama 'Le Monache di Sant'Arcangelo'/'The Nun and the Devil' (1973). Directed by Domenico Paolella (as Paolo Dominici). Starring Anne Heywood, Luc Merenda, Ornella Muti, Muriel Catala, Martine Brochard and Claudia Gravi. Collage of four frame from the Italian nunsploitation film/historical costume drama 'Le Monache di Sant'Arcangelo'/'The Nun and the Devil' (1973). On the top left: A smiling nun seen through an opening in a stone wall with two metal bars in it. The back of a man wearing a hat seen on the right of the frame. On the top right: Inside of a church. Five young women dressed in white robes standing next to each other in front of a Catholic archbishop. People sitting in the background. On the bottom left: A woman wearing a beige robe with a black cross standing in front of a Catholic cardinal in black and red garb. Three women in similar attire sitting on a bench behind her. An old woman lying on a stretcher next to the bench. Two soldiers stand behind the bench. A row of hooded men dressed in black robes sitting next to the bench on the right. On the bottom right: A Catholic archbishop dressed in a blood red robe and a hat standing inside a dungeon. Five men dressed in black Collage of four frame from the Italian nunsploitation film/historical costume drama 'Le Monache di Sant'Arcangelo'/'The Nun and the Devil' (1973). On the top left: Close-up of kneeling nun's legs. Broken glass on the stone floor and a small pool of blood underneath her right knee. The cross of her rosary dangles in front of her left leg creating a shadow of a cross on it. On the top right: A naked couple lying in bed in the missionary position in a darkened room. Shadows and each other's bits covering the most explicit bits of their bodies. On the bottom left: A nun holding the bare leg of another woman as she's removing the stocking on it. On the bottom right: A brown haired Catholic cardinal standing behind a naked nun who's strapped to a torture device.
