Nur teilweise ! In Mäusen, in denen das TRPM8 Gen deletiert war, war auch Kälte weniger effektiv zur Schmerzlinderung. Es müssen also die kälteempfindlichen Nervenfasern aktiviert werden, entweder durch Kälte oder Menthol, um Schmerz zu lindern.
