Everyone loves this song (part 2) - quite enjoying 70’s shred guitar Isley’s but they can’t top this one!

The Isley Brothers - This Old Heart Of Mine (66)

While it could be argued that Motown and H-D-H smooth away some of the rough edges that make the Isleys so great, does it matter when the results are this irresistible? My favourite 60s Motown single.

#Let5D0It Day 45 THIS OLD HEART OF MINE by THE ISLEY BROTHERS (1966)

If I learned nothing else from a daft amount of time reading 90s Doctor Who books, they were worth it for acquainting me with this and the immutable fact of this being the Isleys’ best single.

🟠 Escrita por el equipo principal de compositores de Motown, Holland–Dozier–Holland inicialmente para las Supremes, hace hoy justo 60 años los Isley Brothers lanzaban su clásico This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You) #FelizLunes youtu.be/4C0JsWQ-Pck?...
