The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has commended the country's three major mobile network operators—DITO Telecommunity Corporation, Globe Telecoms Inc., and Smart Communications Inc.—for their readiness to provide reliable mobile services during the Undas 2026 period. On October 29, the NTC conducted mobile network monitoring across 12 bus terminals in Metro Manila, including key locations such as Victory Liner Cubao, Superlines Cubao, and Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). The monitoring involved 128 test campaigns, with 114 tests—approximately 90%—recording mobile broadband download speeds of at least 50 Mbps. DITO Telecommunity achieved the highest speed at 851.00 Mbps at PITX, followed by Smart at 456.00 Mbps, also at PITX, while Globe recorded its peak speed of 330.00 Mbps at Raymond Transportation Terminal in Quezon City. All three operators met the standard for SMS performance with a 100% success rate, exceeding the required 99% benchmark. Additionally, DITO and Globe maintained a 0% call drop ratio, meeting the standard of less than 2%, while Smart reported a 5.26% call drop ratio. NTC Deputy Commissioner Andy Castelar emphasized the importance of reliable mobile connectivity in transport hubs during Undas, a period when millions of Filipinos travel to visit cemeteries and reunite with families. The NTC has urged all mobile network operators to focus on improving communication services based on the monitoring results and will continue nationwide monitoring to ensure telecommunications services remain reliable and responsive to public needs throughout Undas 2026 and beyond.

Rising fuel costs have forced 203 passengers to disembark from a US cruise ship after its operators suspended a three-year journey around the world. PITX recorded 556,995 passengers between October 25-27, with projections reaching up to 1.9 million by November 4. Transportation Secretary Dizon reiterated that passenger safety remains a top priority during peak travel periods like Undas. The inspections and safety measures aim to ensure a smoother commuting experience and enhance public safety during the holiday season.
