Incredible to see radar-estimated totals of 1.5-2.5" of rain over the #ThreeQueensFire, as stationary thunderstorms remained over the area for multiple hours on Thursday evening. #wawx

MAJOR increase in activity on the #ThreeQueensFire today, which is 10 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass. It was likely started by lightning on July 15th, and has been relatively dormant until now, as it's dry enough for it to burn rapidly SW. Might be a new problem... #wawx

After several days of minimal activity, the #ThreeQueensFire flared up yesterday as the thermal trough crossed the Cascades. It continues to burn actively this afternoon. Just goes to show how dry the fuels are right now.

#ThreeQueensFire Not so good news... A now 25 acre fire start last night in a pretty remote area to the East of Snoqualmie Pass. With warmer temps coming this could get worst the next few days... more details later. #wawx

Ran up to Kachess after they moved us into Level 1 Evac status (Be Ready). Lots of billowing smoke at the north point + spot fires on the flanks. You can hear helos, chainsaws, and trees falling on the other side of the ridge. The fight is on as #ThreeQueensFire fire nears 4,000 acres, 0% contained.

Lightning storms sparked three active #wildfires in #KittitasCounty over the weekend, including the newly formed #GoatFire.

The larger #ThreeQueensFire has burned over 6,700 acres toward #CooperLake, while the #KingFire has grown to more than 580 acres.

#ThreeQueensFire at night coming over both ridges, heading towards Salmon La Sac on the right side but also spreading south. It … does not look like anything can stop this except rain 💔 we will see which way the winds turn. This one might burn through fall. Crazy to watch my hometown forest burn.
