We need some serious trust busting up in here. Take all of those companies that own all the other companies, like GE, TimeWarner, Nestle, Pepsico, and their ilk and chop them into mince meat. Just stop allowing companies to own companies entirely. Force every company to compete in the open market.

this shit wouldn't have happened if cnn/timewarner hadn't been bought by at&t and leveraged for at&t's debt, then taken apart and sold, then bought by discovery (who couldn't afford it), who stripped the company further, then blamed the company for doing poorly.

It seems like it is a bad idea to engage in a major acquisition with Warner. The AOL TimeWarner deal was one of the worst in American history. The Warner-Discovery deal seems on the road to equal failure.
