Timms Review rebellion: reject youth disability cuts

In South Wales last week, Disabled people, including #DPAC members and allies, asserted control of the #TimmsReview workshop to send a positive message of defiance.

The second scrap of paper is lined. Above, a caption says: "During the workshop, participants unanimously approved a counter-recommendation." The paper itself says, in a handwritten font: "That the PIP process works for you, whatever age you are, whatever condition or impairment you might have, whatever class you are, whatever ethnicity you are, whatever your circumstances." There are decorative foreground details such as a paperclip and tape. One of the pieces of tape is red, adding a rebellious splash of colour.

At our Timms Review workshop we sent a direct message to Stephen Timms. Participants held an indicative ballot and unanimously voted to reject Labour's dreams of cutting disability benefits for under 22s.
