Closing doors at bedtime can help stop the spread of smoke or fire.

Having an escape plan can help get you out on time, make sure you practice regularly and everyone in your home knows the plan.

Never charge anything unattended. Particularly electric bikes/scooters. These should be charged outside where possible.

Smoke alarms should be tested weekly, you should have at least one per floor of your home and they should be replaced every 7-10 years, depending on the manufacturer's recommendation.
