La première, un Togouchi 2020 (戸河内2020) de la distillerie Sakurao, sera vendue 19 800¥ (environ 110€). Sa particularité est d'avoir vieilli dans un ancien tunnel ferroviaire. Il y aura 238 bouteilles disponibles à partir du 25 novembre 2025. 2/3

3 drinks from Japan From left to right: - Togouchi whisky Distilled in Togouchi, Hiroshima, this one is aged in former railway tunnels in the mountainside, which has a generally cooler environment compared to their coastal whisky, for a light and smooth palate, with refreshing & crisp aftertaste - Sakurao Hamagou gin Distilled in Sakurao, Hiroshima, the botanicals used in this is the Hamagou flower which is unique to Miyajima, and only available in summer. Other botanicals include shiranuhi (a citrus unique to Japan), rosemary, spearmint, lavender, green tea, angelica root, licorice, coriander seeds, vanilla beans, carroway seeds, and juniper - Honkaku Karakuchi Tosatsuru sake From Tosatsuru, Kochi, on the island of Shikoku. Using water from Yasuda river, in a wooded area with plenty of summer rain, for top quality water, producing a clean & crisp palate, with a dry finish. The brewery started in the Edo period 1773

Mac busted some new Japanese whisky myths. But be careful with the Togouchi bought in Europe.
They should all 3 have no age statement and say 100% Japanese on the box. A lot of old Scotch aged in Japan is still in circulation here under the brand name.

Gestern in Klausheide, bei Nordhorn, eine Verkostung für eine auserlesene Gesellschaft, eingeladen von BUM. Acht tolle Whisky's, varierend von leicht und mild bis schwer torfig und Caskstrength. Aber auch Süß und Salz vermischt in ein Talisker Port Ruighe. Super milder Japaner Togouchi und ein 18yo erwachsener Glen Moray. Abgeschlossen mit Scarabus Batch Strength 57% peated Islay und Oliver Renner von Bum selbst kam mit dem Bonuswhisky, Octomore 350 ppm, 61,3%, der Hammer. Togouchi whisky, and a small glass from Sakurao distillery. This smells very fruity and vibrant. It tastes very light and fruity as well, first taste reminded me of a rich Christmas cake, and follows through with sweet raisins and a hint of vanilla (which doesn't come through in the aroma)

I've really enjoyed the ones I've had. Nikka and Hibiki were the first ones I tried. A coworker brought two types of Togouchi home from Japan for me (a sake cask finish and a peated cask finish), both excellent.

Den 1. August hatte ich eine #WhiskyVerkostung in Café Landliebe in Hohen Schönberg, von unsere Nichte Meike. Die Teilnehmer genossen von sechs tollen Whisky’s und ein hervorragendes Grillbuffet. Der Geruch einer französichen Patisserie verarbeitet in einer 16yo Glenmorangie war einer der Favoriten

En door... De Alliantie van Twentse Ambachtelijke Koks, de Twentse AAK, heeft gisteren een hele mooie dag beleefd bij haar 20-jarig jublileum. Bij WILD Bijzonder Vissen in #Reutum proefden ze deze line-up nadat ze #BuffaloFarmTwente en Twentse zuivel van #BoerKees hadden bezocht.
