In Maths our current focus is Symmetry. We have been working hard to identify lines of symmetry and complete symmetrical pictures and shapes. There are lots of games to help practise this topic on SumDog and TopMarks.

Primary 1 have been learning all about the number 3. We have been practising the rhyme 'round the tree, round the tree, that's how we make the number 3' to help us remember the formation. We also played Today's number on Topmarks on the Smart board and iPads.

A specialist Trinity House vessel has been in Guernsey waters this week, helping with the work to replace the Fourquies North Cardinal Buoy.
It is one three Cardinal Buoys, and its topmarks direct mariners to keep north, as danger lies to the south of the buoy.

A specialist Trinity House vessel has been in Guernsey waters this week, helping with the work to replace the Fourquies North Cardinal Buoy. The Buoy aids safe navigation south of Herm, said Guernsey Ports. It's one of 60 the department maintains to help mariners navigate local waters. There is a planned cycle of maintenance so that each of these navigational aids is refurbished every few years and this time round it was the Fourquies turn.
