Messing around with the TopSciNet database and it's as messy as I would have expected.
My experience has been that crude data collection of bibliometric data (such as publisher APIs, scraping Google Scholars, etc) is extremely messy and the data require a lot of cleaning.

How exactly the rankings is made, I don't know, but it was delightful to find myself there, as one rarely gets recognition from outside for the work done (which we know by ourself is important!). Here is link to the @aalto.fi list: topscinet.com/university_p...

"top 2% scientists" rankings are there for 2026. Interesting to look through these, e.g. for Finland topscinet.com/countries/fi.... I find myself in the list -- not within the top 100 of Finland, but #23 of @aalto.fi, #2 of CHEM, and #1 of our department (if I saw through the lists correctly).
