Little trip to Toronto. Hopefully I will find birds. Snow forecast tomorrow is probably going to ruin any chance of that! #torontobirding

With the freshly fallen snow I can take a few pictures with a bit more light.

The downy is enjoying the suet feeder.

This handsome fella was enjoying a tasty afternoon snack until a tiny, cheeky Downy bullied him off the suet! Rude. Cute!, but rude. #Birds #TorontoBirding #urbanbirds 🪶

A family of swallows takes center stage, with parents proudly providing for their young. The chicks, still fluffy and vulnerable, open their beaks wide in anticipation as their parent swoops in to deliver a nutritious snack.

A beauty of a Baltimore Oriole examines the treats on offer (last spring). Now we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this year's friends!! Oranges & grape jelly (and proper, good food, too) are out , ready to welcome hungry visitors. #Birds #TorontoBirding #BackyardBirds 🪶🧡

A busy day at the Porch Railing Spa today!

Some days there are more than 15 #Birds flapping around at this popular gathering spot--always sparrows but also cheeky nuthatches, cardinals, redwing blackbirds, warblers and once , memorably, 5 Bluejays so big they could barely fit! 🐦 #torontobirding

When all the juncos, sparrows, chickadees and woodpeckers disappear from our feeders in a hurry, we know our local celebrity has dropped in to visit! Look at this beauty, perched on the fence of our neighbour's compact urban backyard. #Birds #TorontoBirding #urbanbirding 🪶

When the blue jays visit our narrow urban yard, they do so in packs of 8 - minimum (our record is 14 all at once- what a racket!). Here's one of this morning's gang, not exactly camouflaged in the sand cherry, standing guard as his buddies clear out out feeders. 😅🐦 #birds #TorontoBirding
