Gaming1 Gains 11.3% Marketing Budget By Optimising Its Google Ads Investment And Click Fraud Protection With TrafficGuard - Gaming1 Deploys TrafficGuard’s Search Solution To Eliminate Invalid Advertising Traffic, Improving Campaign Efficiency And Contributing To An 11.5% Increase In Sales Conversions
Gaming1, a leading Belgian sports betting operator, partnered with TrafficGuard to protect acquisition budget and drive advertising performance by eliminating low-value and invalid traffic on Circus-Casino.be. By implementing TrafficGuard’s Search solution, Gaming1 was able to ensure PPC traffic integrity and improve the efficiency and integrity of its paid search activity within the first reporting period. Once invalid traffic was removed, Gaming1 was able to unlock over 11.3% of their annual marketing budget and increase conversions by 11.5%.    TrafficGuard’s solution allows Gaming1 to improve the accuracy of customer acquisition costs (CAC) and return on ad spend (ROAS) reporting, and provided greater control across paid search investments. The solution flagged that 97% of Gaming1’s brand clicks were from existing customers logging into their accounts, not new first-time depositors (FTDs). This meant a substantial portion of the acquisition budget was being consumed by repeat engagement that delivered no incremental value. The solution operated at the individual click level to limit repeat paid clicks on brand terms using click-frequency controls aligned with platform-level engagement patterns. This prevents existing customers from repeatedly triggering paid ad costs.    “In high-CPC verticals like sports betting, returning users tend to drive repeat clicks on branded terms to log in, while bots and other invalid traffic concentrate on higher-CPC generic terms. Even small volumes of either can significantly distort acquisition costs and optimisation signals at scale,” said Mathew Ratty, CEO at TrafficGuard. “By deploying TrafficGuard’s Search solution, Gaming1 are proactively validating organic returning users in real time and preventing non-incremental engagement from absorbing acquisition budget. Gaming1 could then ensure spend was directed toward genuine new player acquisition.”    TrafficGuard’s Search Solution validated organic returning users in real time and quantified "paid clicks saved", giving Gaming1 visibility into exactly how much budget was being protected. It also redirected protected budget toward genuine new depositing players, improving the quality of traffic flowing into conversion funnels and Smart Bidding models. This approach reinforced traffic integrity within paid search, ensuring invalid traffic prevention and returning user controls worked together to improve incrementality. The solution was implemented with the due consideration for Google’s advertising policies and Gaming1’s applicable regulatory obligations in Belgium.   "Paid search is one of our most commercially sensitive channels, and we needed more efficient audience acquisition. TrafficGuard gave us that clarity,” said Simon Wood, Head of Performance Marketing at Gaming1. “Unlocking over 11% of our annual budget and seeing an immediate uplift in conversions confirmed the optimisation opportunity identified through our initial analysis — a significant share of our brand spend simply wasn't driving incremental growth. It's now one of the most impactful optimisation levers we've deployed."    TrafficGuard is a multi-award-winning platform that detects, mitigates and reports on digital invalid traffic and ad fraud before it hits advertising budgets. It is trusted by thousands of global businesses, including enterprise brands operating across highly competitive verticals such as finance, eCommerce, travel and gaming. This launch comes after TrafficGuard’s recent expansion of its operations in the U.S. and the deployment of its self-serve SME platform as part of a robust growth pipeline.

Tamam Finance Chooses TrafficGuard To Eliminate Fraudulent Downloads Accounting For 66% Of Installs, Strengthening Mobile Attribution Integrity - Tamam Finance Deploys TrafficGuard’s Mobile App Solution For Real-Time Ad Fraud Prevention, Ensuring High-Quality App Installations And $120,000 In Budget Efficiency Gains
Tamam Finance, a leading digital financial service, chose TrafficGuard to protect mobile attribution integrity and drive growth by eliminating ad fraud. By implementing TrafficGuard’s Mobile App fraud prevention solution, Tamam and global media agency partner OMD MENA were able to take real-time control over mobile attribution quality. This enabled them to redirect investment towards genuine, incremental performance, resulting in US$120,000 in projected annual media efficiency improvements.   TrafficGuard’s solution allows Tamam to make better informed budgetary decisions with clean, trustworthy attribution signals. The analysis flagged that up to 66% of Tamam’s installs were potentially invalid or misattributed traffic, reinforcing the need for advanced fraud prevention controls. It was deployed and integrated at click level, install level, and post-attribution level to prevent fraudulent clicks and impressions from reaching the mobile measurement partner (MMP) from the first interactions. This enabled OMD and Tamam to protect mobile app budgets, improve MMP attribution, and ensure future growth in a more secure and transparent mobile advertising environment.   “Mobile ad fraud prevention has become increasingly critical for fintech growth teams. Fraudulent installs, misattributed conversions, and invalid post-install activity are draining budgets, distorting optimisation signals, and redirecting spend away from genuine customer acquisition," said Mathew Ratty, CEO at TrafficGuard. "By deploying TrafficGuard's Mobile App solution, Tamam and OMD MENA are proactively blocking invalid traffic across the full install journey, from click validation through to post-attribution analysis. With clean MMP data powering their decisions, they have the confidence that their campaigns are driving real users and genuine growth."   Tamam Finance is a digital financing service and the first company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be licensed by the Saudi Central Bank to provide digital financial solutions tailored to individuals. Tamam offers Shari’a compliant instant approval financing for up to 50,000 Saudi Riyals in a quick, easy, secure and fully digital solution.   When user acquisition decisions are grounded in verified attribution data, optimisation becomes significantly more effective," said Thamer Almuhaysin, Digital Marketing Manager at Tamam. "With TrafficGuard validating installs and filtering invalid traffic across our app campaigns, we've been able to trust our MMP data, sharpen budget allocation, and drive genuine, sustainable growth.   TrafficGuard is a multi-award winning platform that detects, mitigates, and reports on digital invalid traffic and ad fraud before it hits advertising budgets, trusted by thousands of global businesses including enterprise brands operating across highly competitive verticals such as finance, eCommerce, travel, and gaming. In February, TrafficGuard expanded its operations in the U.S. as part of a robust growth pipeline, with plans to significantly expand its team in the region and enable brands to boost their revenue and confidently scale advertising campaigns by eliminating non-genuine, non-incremental, and wasteful traffic across paid media.

TrafficGuard Appoints Scott Thomson As Head Of AI To Drive Next-Generation Fraud Prevention And Platform Innovation - Thomson Brings Over 10 Years’ Experience In AI Technology And Strategy From Google, Adobe, And Telstra To One Of The Industry's Earliest AI-Native Ad Fraud Prevention Platforms
TrafficGuard, a leading platform in AI-powered digital ad verification and invalid traffic (IVT) prevention, has appointed Scott Thomson as Head of AI. Thomson will oversee and accelerate the execution and embedment of AI into TrafficGuard’s platform and processes, building on more than eight years of machine learning innovation that has positioned the company at the forefront of ad fraud detection since its founding. He brings over a decade’s worth of experience in technology and AI innovation, having previously worked for Google, Adobe, and Telstra, as well as founding strategic consultancy firm SCRYPTID.  TrafficGuard was among the first ad verification platforms to deploy machine learning models for real-time invalid traffic detection, processing billions of data points to identify fraud patterns invisible to rules-based systems. That early investment in AI infrastructure now serves as the foundation for the company's next generation of detection capabilities - engineered to combat an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape.  "We are delighted to welcome Scott in an executive capacity at a pivotal time for TrafficGuard. His deep expertise in AI spanning Google Cloud, generative AI strategy, and enterprise innovation is directly aligned with where we are taking this business,” said Mat Ratty, CEO of TrafficGuard. “Scott's appointment accelerates our ability to execute our AI roadmap and deliver advanced fraud prevention to advertisers globally. We look forward to the contribution he will make as we enter our next phase of growth."  Scott Thomson will support TrafficGuard’s expansion of its AI capabilities, ensuring the platform is well positioned to manage ad exposure and fraud risks  as the digital advertising ecosystem undergoes its most significant shift in a decade. He will leveragehis extensive experience in AI strategy and innovation to accelerate product development and commercial execution, bringing to market advanced solutions that monitor, detect, analyse, and respond to invalid traffic, while driving adoption across new verticals and channels.  Scott Thomson, Head of AI, Traffic Guard said: "Having served as a non-executive director since early 2024 with TrafficGuard, I'm looking forward to adding my experience and guidance more directly to our already significant team. The AI arms race in ad fraud is real. Fraudsters are already deploying agentic bots and generative AI to evade detection at scale, and staying ahead requires deep AI expertise and a platform built for continuous evolution.  The appointment comes at a critical inflection point for the industry. The rapid proliferation of agentic AI - autonomous bots capable of browsing, clicking, filling out forms, and mimicking genuine user behaviour, is fundamentally reshaping the threat landscape for digital advertisers. Unlike traditional bot traffic, agentic bots operate with human-like intent patterns, making them significantly harder to detect using conventional verification methods. Industry analysts project that AI-generated invalid traffic will account for an increasingly material share of digital ad spend waste over the coming years, creating an urgent need for AI-native detection that can evolve at the same pace as the threats it defends against.  “TrafficGuard has a strong foundation in machine learning-driven detection, and I'm here to accelerate what's next,” said Thompson. “Expanding our AI-powered capabilities beyond fraud detection into intelligent optimisation tools that help advertisers not just protect their spend, but maximise its performance. We're evolving the platform to cover new channels and deliver actionable insights that turn fraud data into a genuine competitive advantage. Tackling ad fraud has become increasingly essential for advertisers, and I can't wait to be part of the talented team building the future of ad verification.”  This strategic appointment will further strengthen TrafficGuard’s commitment to driving innovation in ad fraud prevention. It supports TrafficGuard’s wider global channel growth strategy, following its recent expansion in the United States and the appointment of CPO Miguel Lopes. The company plans to significantly expand its team, enabling brands to boost their revenue and confidently scale advertising campaigns by eliminating invalid traffic. As brands allocate record budgets to digital channels, TrafficGuard's mission to ensure every ad dollar reaches a real human has never been more commercially critical.

TrafficGuard Launches In The United States To Help More Businesses Combat Growing Ad Fraud And Invalid Traffic - The New York Expansion Strengthens TrafficGuard’s Ongoing Commitment To Reducing Global Advertising Fraud And Non-Genuine Digital Traffic, As U.S Marketers Demand Greater Transparency, Control, And Performance Certainty Amidst AI Boom
TrafficGuard, a leading platform for digital ad verification and fraud prevention, has announced the launch of operations in the United States to support its global growth strategy. TrafficGuard CEO, Mathew Ratty, has relocated to TrafficGuard’s New York office, formalising and accelerating the company’s existing U.S presence to further serve evolving invalid traffic and ad fraud prevention demands in the U.S, and support its growing channel ecosystem. With commercial and customer-facing teams already operating in the United States, this move reflects a deliberate step to scale local leadership, support, and go-to-market execution.   Ratty will support the next phase of U.S growth by meeting with customers and partners in the United States. His presence demonstrates TrafficGuard’s commitment to gathering first-hand feedback on customers’ traffic quality, invalid behaviour, and ad performance challenges across complex, high-spend media environments. He will leverage these insights to boost data integrity, optimisation confidence, and campaign resilience for US businesses with the most efficient solutions to monitor, detect, analyse, and respond to invalid traffic, including but not limited to fraud.   “We’re seeing a rapid increase in sophisticated ad fraud alongside high volumes of non-genuine and non-incremental traffic in the United States, with impacts on budgets becoming much more frequent,” said Mathew Ratty, CEO of TrafficGuard. “For U.S advertisers operating at scale, it’s no longer just about blocking bad clicks. It’s about protecting decision-making, optimisation models, and growth efficiency. That’s where TrafficGuard’s enterprise-grade approach stands apart. We remain committed to building resilience to protect brands across the globe. With an expanding U.S team and accelerated product innovation, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year for TrafficGuard.”   In 2025, TrafficGuard strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Miguel Lopes as Chief Product Officer, based in the United States. With deep experience building and scaling enterprise technology, Lopes is fast-tracking new product development and unlocking additional acquisition channels, ensuring TrafficGuard continues to meet the demands of high-spend, multi-channel advertisers and enterprise media teams. This strategic move will further strengthen TrafficGuard’s presence in the United States as its U.S customer base continues to grow and more brands seek locally supported, enterprise-ready solutions. The company is riding a robust growth pipeline, with plans to significantly expand its team in the region and enable brands to boost their revenue and confidently scale advertising campaigns by eliminating non-genuine, non-incremental, and wasteful traffic across paid media.   “It’s clear that tackling ad fraud and invalid traffic more broadly is becoming a more urgent priority for advertisers in the U.S, and this is one of the main drivers behind our decision to expand in the region,” said Chad Kinlay, CMO at TrafficGuard.  “As AI accelerates automation across media buying, marketers need independent, enterprise-grade validation to ensure performance data can be trusted. TrafficGuard helps brands defend profitability today while building smarter, more resilient growth for the future.”   The expansion reinforces TrafficGuard’s position as a leader in a rapidly evolving ad landscape. The company is enhancing enterprise-grade traffic validation, prevention, and optimisation intelligence and accelerating the rollout of innovative products across the globe to meet the demands of next-generation digital advertising, while ensuring U.S customers are supported by local expertise, local teams, and local insight.
