Train travel in the UK: Truly nothing more frustrating that someone refusing to move from the seat you've reserved before it has even left the station at the start of its journey.

The thing I discovered was that there is only one peak time (morning) which was news to me! Means at least my return is cheaper.
Mix the rail card with split tickets I’m nearly as “cheap” for my return as buying a full season ticket. (TrainPal apps pretty good for this)

You know when you feel ripped off…. All I wanted was a ticket from Manchester Airport to my home. Used TrainPal paid for first class… wanted an open return… no problem…. Except the return isn’t open I have to go via a circular route because the ticket mirrors the deviated route home. No 1st either😵
