i remember playing this a game called 3d ultra lionel traintown which was a mostly realistic train traffic simulator, but at some point it started spawning weird cartoon ufos that started blasting the track generally being a nuisance

I never had Tycoon, so I can't comment on it at all. I get music from Traintown stuck in my head at least once a month.

im not much into collecting retro computers (or knowing things abt them) but i did co-opt an HP Pavilion 304w and a CRT from my grandfather's house before it gets sold. can't wait to restore it and run it on the- i mean play MSTS and lionel traintown and bicycle board games on it
