#TramNews: Christchurch Tramway has now moved into their summer season operating hours.

Summer hours will see tramcars on the tracks from 8:30 am until 6:30 pm daily, with the last tram departing from Stop 1 at 5:50 pm every day.

#TramNews: Christchurch Tramway will be open on Christmas Day from 10 am - 4 pm with two trams operating at a 25-minute frequency.

Regular hours resume from Boxing Day through the holidays.

#TramNews: MOTAT's Western Springs Tramway has welcomed Wanganui trailer No. 21 back to the tracks following a complete rebuild/restoration.

No. 21 will be paired with former Wanganui steam tram motor No. 100 for public rides at MOTAT.

#TramNews: The Western Springs Tramway at MOTAT has reopened following the completion of Stage 2 of the track upgrade project.

Trams are now able to use the full length of track between Aviation Hall on Motions Road to Great North Road.

#TramNews: Christchurch Tramway's Tram 244 is returning to Ferrymead for scheduled maintenance over the winter season.

Maintenance includes:
* Driver’s cabs TLC
* Relaying the floor
* New paint job

#TramNews: Trams are not currently operating at MOTAT while crews work to replace the overhead wires on the section of track near Motions Road.

The works are part of ongoing maintenance works.

Trams are expected to be back on track from February 14.

#TramNews: The track renewal works at the Wellington Tramway Museum are now complete.

Crews removed and replaced the tracks and ballast, with a test tram returning to the track ahead of a full reopening this weekend.

#TramNews: Work to replace the S-Bend on the Western Springs Tramway is now complete and trams have completed a test run on the new tracks.

Work has now shifted to the Motions Rd crossing.

#TramNews: Works have begun at MOTAT on the Western Springs Tramway to replace sections of track between Great North Road and MOTAT 2.

The first section being worked on is near Western Springs College and being completed by Libbet.

#TramNews: The Tramway Historical Society (THS) has acquired Dunedin ‘Takapuna’ Tram No. 66.

The tram entered service on the Takapuna Tramway before being sold off to Dunedin for their tram network

Recently, ownership was passed from the Otago Settlers Museum to THS.

#TramNews: Whanganui Tramways have evacuated Tram 12 named Mabel from the tram shed ahead of impending bad weather that could cause flooding at their site.

The tram will be stored on higher ground until further notice.

#TramNews: The Christchurch Tramway Historical Society has officially unveiled Tram 24 into service following an 18-year restoration project.

The society acquired the stripped tram body in 1968, and restoration planning began in 2007.
