I’d love to see Nathaniel Rateliff back again. Transcanada Highwaymen were fun and a good follow up to having Sloan and BNL this year.

We were supposed to drive out to the TransCanada (3hr drive to get there in the cold fall), to cheer him on and he had to stop just outside of Tbay.

We were on the other side.

I've been to every province and driven every inch of TransCanada but I've never been to any of the territories. Grande Prairie or Masset are probably the furthest north I've been.

No, he specifically chose the Transcanada railway, which was a monumental nation-building project. Unfortunately, you have to give credit to John A for that, cause he was the guy in charge at the time. Doesn't make the project less important

Passengers returned daily to the church hall for meals, phone, news on screen, updates on likely flights out of Gander.
One afternoon locals brought by a moose - roadkill from nearby TransCanada highway - for anyone new to such beasts.
On the 5th day we gathered one final time, to go back to Gander.
A dead moose in the back of a pickup truck, its legs hanging out the back. Some people who'd never seen one, were interested to have a look, others were not.... The church hall full of passengers from CO29, gathering for instructions and awaiting transport back to Gander airport. It was the first time we had seen the crew since we disembarked, as they were kept separately in Gander hotels for security reasons.

I saw someone on the back of a motorcycle reading a book on a Kindle on the Transcanada a couple months ago and I found it mildly amusing. Like, being driven through western New Brunswick is not all that interesting, might as well read!
