Look, I love that there are petitions in other countries to accept #transgender folx fleeing the US. That’s great!
But a huge % of us are #disabled. We need countries to accept us disabled transfolx, too.
And most places just won’t do that because of their #ableism.

AITAH if it bothers me that people won’t use someone’s correct pronouns but will “misgender” someone by using their incorrectly gendered profession? Males who perform massage are “masseurs”, females who provide the same service are “masseuses”. If you can’t acknowledge transfolx, don’t appropriate!

There’s huge overlap between disability and transgender identity. Far too many of us transfolx get thrown out of biological families. Relying on family isn’t always an option if we don’t want to endure abuse. I’m cared for financially by my mother, but I’m not out to her and live far away.
