She can't hold a conversation with it, but Sapphire DOES know a few words of ASL and falls back on them when she becomes too overstimulated to form sentences. Hot Rod knows what to do when this happens!

Hot Rod from transformers G1, drawn in a sketchy style. Dialogue reads; Sapphire; (off panel) Hot Rod? Hot Rod; Yeah, Sapphire? What's up? Sapphire, a young woman with long hair in a crop top with a cassette tape on it, looking up, looking distressed, signing in American Sign Language, "Noisy", and another, "Help." Sapphire looks off to the side, sad or disappointed in herself, doing the sign for "Thank you". Hot Rod reaches his hand over to her. Dialogue; Hot Rod; You forgot your headphones, didn't you? -She nods wordlessly- Hot Rod; It's okay, Firecracker, I got your spares in my glove compartment. Sapphire, in American Sign Language; Thank you.

Forget it, Hot Rod. It's gonna fit, and she's gonna sit. Good thing they have plenty of lube!

A drawing with no background of Hot Rod from Transformers G1, nervously smiling at a naked blonde woman (save for her long blue socks) as she straddles him and lubes up his spike, which is large enough to reach her breasts and too thick for one hand to wrap around. She's grinning with her tongue out in anticipation, stroking him as she figures out an angle. Dialogue reads off to the side; Hot Rod; Sapphire, Ratchet can reduce my size--" Sapphire: NO. I can take it! Hot Rod; It won't fit! Sapphire; I'll MAKE it fit!

Good luck trying to talk her out of it, Hot Rod. As far as she's concerned, it WILL fit, and she WILL sit 🤷

A sketch with half-completed lineart of Hot Rod from Transformers g1, smiling nervously at a human woman with a chest tattoo and thigh highs stroking his spike with a tongue-out grin, while she's straddled on him and preparing to attempt to take him inside her. His spike is the thickness of her arm and the tip reaches her chest. He has one hand to the side, preparing to pull her off, worried about hurting her. Text to the side shows dialogue; "Sapphire, Ratchet can reduce my size--" "NO. I WILL take it!" "It won't fit! "I will MAKE it fit!"

Sapphire is used to being different, but sometimes, it'd be nice to feel... /not/ different. Thankfully, Optimus always has good advice (part 1/2)

#maccadams #yumeship #transformersfanart #transformersOC #OCxCanon #transformershotrod
A girl drawn in blue, with long fluffy hair and an off-the-shoulder crop top with a cassette on it, is looking up off-panel, as blue test reads; "S-so, Optimus, Hot Rod and I, we're--heh--we're kind of a thing now, uhm, I just... I was wondering if there's anyone else who's been like us? You know, in a human-Cybertronian relationship?" And in red text as Optimus responds, off-panel, "There is precedent for it, yes, but you shouldn't compare yourselves to anyone who came before, Sapphire." Sapphire frowns as she continues to listen, more red text; "Love is as unpredictable and complicated for us as it is for humans. It's one of the universal things that binds all sentient beings. Even though there ARE others like you and Hot Rod, your similarities would end at your species, because you're unique, and so is your relationship." Sapphire sighs and replies "I see..." Optimus then asks, "Why do you ask? What's bothering you?" Drawn text behind Sapphire reads "Thump, thump, thump", as she looks down and opens up, "It's... hard to explain, Optimus. I guess just once, I wanted to be... not different, by some standard. My therapist says I should accept being the way I am, personality disorder and all, and that people will love me for me--I know Hot Rod does." Optimus interrupts, "he does, very much. We all do." She continues, "it's just... hard to love yourself when even modern medicine thinks you're a freak." Hot Rod's hand, which is the size of her body, drawn in orange, scoops Sapphire up. He says "Incoming scoop!" as she lets out a surprised "Woah!"
