Oh boy do those decisions look poor. No passing lane doesn't work if you have multiple routes using the transitway. A stop in a turning area, as in the prior post, also looks like it invites great issues. Seems like a disconnect between design and intended use :(. Should need only some more pavement

The downtown split stops along the one-way streets were used by huge numbers of local, express, and transitway-only buses, and the road was shared with private automobiles, so it was impossibly jammed at rush hour, & the unique route count being so high caused issues even at Rideau's transitway stop

Location-dependent in Ottawa's system. St. Laurent had many bays on the transitway for the different routes serving the transitway. Some highway stops out towards Orleans only had space for 1, maybe 2, so if you had half a dozen express buses borrowing the transitway, it could crowd there.

Yeah, it’s definitely faster than the bus lanes on Kennedy and Midland but the volume of buses using it reminds me of the Ottawa Transitway a decade ago, where the volume of buses helps to slow it down.
