#Transmasculine
If the woman posing as a man winds up feminized and married to a man at the end that's a reassuring/comforting story for cis people where the natural order reasserts itself in time. It is not a transmasculine story, it's an anti-transmasculine story.
trans man: discussing his opinion on his transness and oppression

every non-transmasc person who hears him: Actually they understand women wanting to be men, that's why every story with a woman disguising as a man ends with him transitioning and not with her dolled up in make up and a dress

Kris Dreemurr isn't transfeminine or transmasculine they're transcanine.

seeing transmasculine hrt positivity on the timeline shouldn't make me want to start crying man

As a transmasculine person you reject your own subjectivity, and declare you want to hurt transmasculine people who differ from you by a degree? Wow. Sucks.

I did, yes, all the way back in 2024 :3

I am not sure how to explain to people the intense and insane amount of anti transmasculine propaganda out there that has been forced fed to future transmascs as "women's empowerment".

"transmasculine people need to stop correctly recognizing that their gender plays into their oppression and sit down and shut up"

Im really interested in drawing trans and genderqueer characters, that includes, femboys, NB, transfemmes pre and post bottom surgery.

I do also draw trans masculine folks but that's less common because I think transmasculine artists are better at it.

i am transmasculine, of course Will Wood mentioned

WAIT HOW COULD I FORGET CANONICALLY TRANSMASCULINE RUFIN BYRDE WHOM WE SAW TRANSITION BEFORE OUR EYES

Of note is that the transmasculine surgery takes a lot longer, requiring multiple surgeries, and is generally more expensive. So you could be midway through and your clinic stops taking referrals and you have to hope they’ll finish up and not put you on another clinics list

Please more transmasculine characters, there's a sever lack of them even amongst queer rep...

My trans husband’s experience of anti-transmasculine oppression and mine as a transmasc butch are different based on embodied identities and choices, not our internally understood gender difference.

The major problem transmasculine people experience is epistemic injustice. This is not to say that transmasculine people don't experience more dangerous and serious problems than just epistemic injustice -- but those cannot even be assessed if they are dismissed as nonexistent to begin with.

“Why can’t you stupid children understand that what you experience ISN’T multiple axes of sex, gender, and trans embodiment melding into specific violence aimed at transmasculine people and underlay by patriarchal control. It’s just…. nothing. it’s oppression. nameless. genderless. directionless.“
Its always very fascinating to me that whenever you say transandrophobia isnt a Thing, transandrobros always seem to go "so you dont think i experence oppression" not what i said.

(To be clear, this is meant as a rhetorical analysis of assholes' behavior, not any sort of oppression Olympics. We're all in this together, and transmasculine erasure is just as harmful as transfeminine hyper visibility)
November 2, 2026 at 1:14 PM
it's deeply anti-transmasculine and is also loaded with this weird "androphilia isn't real/is irrational" sentiment that you see sometimes

Male secondary sex characteristics are beautiful, come on

I mean there's also a lot of transmasculine projection here. Both on the level of "damn I wish *I* was a man in a dress" and also in the assumption that there's some transfem equivalent to the fem-presenting never-T trans man in a flower crown.

And that's the part missing from so many conversations about trans athletes. Trans men and transmasculine people are being pushed out of sports too, yet their exclusion barely gets acknowledged. The fight for trans inclusion has to include everyone affected, not just those making headlines.

I suggest that we have a really simple way to define these things: transmisogyny names the pattern that occurs for trans women but not all other trans people or all other women.

Similarly for misogynoir. And likewise, there’s a pretty clear analog for transmasculine people.
Fuck it. Fine. I will discourse. Transmisogyny as a concept descends from misogynoir. The idea is that an intersection produces something *new* that does not reduce to the addition of two things. Transmisogyny and misogynoir are *not* intersections. This is a fundamental misunderstanding.
This isn’t even specific to “TME” but has become one of the finer complexities of transmisogyny theory—lots of people define transmisogyny as “the intersection of transphobia and misogyny,” but then we have this problem: essentially ALL trans people deal with both transphobia and misogyny
