Once upon a time I'd have described Transformers as bad art and Transmorphers as slop. But those old Asylum crap films are infinitely more respectable than any AI-generated content.
I have many theories of slop, but my current Theory of Slop is that what makes slop "slop" and not just "bad art" is that slop only ever aims to sate a desire created by past experiences of art rather than to create a new experience to be desired.

The 1922 Nosferatu is like if one of those knock-off movies like Transmorphers happened to be directed by a mad genius and it influenced basically every film that came after it. Not sure if that happened with Transmorphers (2007), I’d have to check.
