#Transsib

Sabotage the Transsib and BAM and they'd have to route through China
September 9, 2026 at 8:00 PM
That was the USSR. 😅 And still, with all their heavy industry told to focus on that and no need to look closely on balance sheets, they just managed to do 3 radials out of Moscow plus Carpathians plus Caucasus, then they either stopped (transsib east of western Siberia) or did it at 25kV instead.

How? By trying to shove even more traffic down the overloaded Transsib?
August 27, 2026 at 5:04 PM
We will see more of this! To the Eastern Borders #China / #NorthKorea there are not too many chokepoints to cut off. And it's impossible to protect the Transsib: Too much Space, too many thinly populated Areas to cross. And if this Lifeline for Chips, Cars, Goods is cut off: Bye #Russia!

#Ukraine

Summonsed on the TransSib to see your Comrade Handler in the Lubyanka, Comrade?? 🤔🤔
August 12, 2026 at 8:47 PM
Man glaubt es kaum. Das war schon voll in der Planung. 😱

When I took the Transsib I added the BAM to my buckets list. Don’t see that coming either.
I‘ve discovered Europe by rail since then and sometimes other routes open up new challenges and experiences. ✌🏻🤞🏻

Will bei Wahlmanipulation mittun!

😎

No change.
They could attack fuel trains on the transsib, but that can be repaired quickly. Bridges are hard targets.

AFU are doing the right thing, admirable work from many viewpoints (focus on enemy logistics, concentration of force, execution). Soft targets that are gigantic choke points.

June 3, 2026 at 4:50 PM
That's a big "if", though, because the need to ferry everything across the Caspian creates two transloads that the Transsib doesn't have, and transloading is very time-consuming and expensive, especially for rail
According to Ukrainian intelligence, if this corridor grows, Russia could lose its status as a key transit hub between Asia and Europe, along with billions in transport revenues. The route’s capacity is expected to nearly double by 2030.

May 17, 2026 at 8:18 PM
Putin will also auch Xi in China besuchen.

Three days of birch trees or almost Taiga on the TransSib takes a different level of stamina than SW France. However, got your point. The HSR Paris-Bordeaux / Paris-Lyon parts are my favorite legs crossing France though.
May 10, 2026 at 3:26 PM

Which meant that Japan captured the intact Manchurian portion of Transsib (later CER), letting it manoeuvre while the Russian army and its supplies mostly languished 2000km away
