This cohort study analyzes data from the French national trauma registry Traumabase to examine whether an early, high ratio of fresh frozen plasma to packed red blood cells is associated with all-cause 30-day mortality in adults with severe bleeding after trauma.

In this #Traumabase analysis, preinjury oral anticoagulant therapy ↗️ trauma mortality -especially VKA- but guideline-concordant reversal of either VKA or DOAC was associated with lower day-1 and day-7 mortality without increasing thrombotic events.
