At the Sept. 14 CEAC meeting, Explore Elgin Area leaders told commissioners their state-certified visitors bureau promotes Bartlett across a multi-channel marketing campaign and said Bartlett lacks hotels to capture some visitor business.

Visit Stillwater told trustees it provided nearly $700,000 in airport-related marketing services last year, has contracted the Quotient Group for a dedicated Fly Swo website and highlighted a grand opening and an American Airlines anniversary coming that week.

Commissioner Bill Winfield and Travel Council member Howard Trenholme reported coordination with SkyWest on marketing, and the county is exploring using Transient Room Tax funds with SkyWest resources; Winfield also said the proposed shuttle to Arches National Park will be discussed at the county commission.
