With Carole feeling a bit brighter today we went for lunch and a wander around Trebah Gardens. Definitely our favourite Cornish garden. It’s not just filled with Mexican Fleabane you understand, but I do love the way it clothes the walls. Beautiful 😌

Trebah Gardens rough, watercolour & wip. What a ruddy beautiful place. I was AGOG… the Mallard Pool is Monet’s water lilies irl. I saved a toadlet from giant feetz… (he looked a bit like a middle aged man in skinny jeans! Lols)

Rough thumbnail of the glorious array of foliage at the Mallard Pool - a Monet masterpiece in real life My watercolour sketch of the same, bursting with colour, lilies and hydrangeas and GIANT SPIKEY RHUBARB (I know it has a real name but…) there were glorious blue damselflies everywhere and butterflies and the somnabulent buzz of sleepy bees everywhere Working up the sketch on good paper - ran out of time so I need to finish this one… but I will be back. What a stunningly beautiful place Trebah is… and that bridge… Tiny errant toadlet - saved from a stomping by our resident ginger artfarty critter lover
