I went down a rabbit hole years ago trying to find out why they’re named Queen Anne, the Chicago candy makers having named them for the cherry variety. Anne Stuart? Another Queen? Maybe a relative of the Oregon settler who re-named them? fps.ucdavis.edu/treedetails....
