Rhino Pipeliner 5000 is not recommended for ponds. It's specialized for trenchless pipe repair, hence its rigidity and 3 second gel time. Other polyureas/polyurethanes are far more stretchable and good for continuous immersion.

ffs, they even used trenchless horizontal directional drilling so the surface was never affected... and they still had to reroute it

At the risk of mansplaining, but speaking as a guy who did a sewer lateral replacement in Berkeley a couple of years ago, trenchless replacements are possible! Still needed to dig a couple of really big holes, but my lateral runs UNDER a corner if my house, and trenchless work super well.

Had Mr. Rooter Plumbing out to give a quote on replacing the service line.
They do trenchless plumbing (they run a torpedo through the old pipe to guide the new one) so I figured it would work best for my crawlspace and be cheaper/cost comparable.
It was not.
They wanted $20,763.
