Trump's superpower has always been the ability to be the patron saint of losers but now he's too much of a loser even for most of them to associate with, if you want to follow the trendlines, look to the grifters first, they will always show you which way the wind blows

1. laying waste to a lot of what keeps government/society stable in a really reckless way
2. loudly telegraphing that they see themselves as above accountability ("what are you gonna do?")

What corporate media has done instead is something insidious: it's reframed as analysis, commentary, or opinion what is in fact *necessary context* (e.g. history, ancillary reporting, trendlines, systemic features, biography and more) that *should* have shown up in its reporting.
