The White House is fixated on talking about dolls as to trivialize the impact of the tariffs.

Yeah, but I don’t want to trivialize a real world threat with a comic book one.
@gailsimone.bsky.social Do you see the similarities with the autism registry that RFK jr just announced and the mutant registry? I’m AuDHD and it scares the hell out of me.

In our work at the Free Press, we trivialize antisemitism and legitimize antisemites. Here’s why that’s good for the Jews.

Shrugging shoulders about the literal ownership of a platform seems to trivialize the act of refusal of participation.

They are never ok. They have their own rules of engagement, which are to trivialize even the gravest stories for clicks and access.
Are the Playbook writers okay?

ICE is doing a hell of a lot of harm in the Chicago area *right now.* I don’t mean to trivialize the national guard stuff, it absolutely is an irresponsible escalation, but the guard-centric convo around this really does understate what’s going on without any guardsmen.

they trivialize the genocide upon palestinians happening right now and they trivialize the holocaust and its legacy. genocide is nothing but an abstraction to these people wilfully knowing how they participate in one

The Olympics are a corrupt organization.
They let Israel compete.
And trivialize the world we live in.

The New York Times has a choice of whether to cover Trumpism as A) an amusing and colorful example of the oddity of American politics, or B) an existential threat to the future of everyone you know and love. Over and over, they choose A. They trivialize themselves.

!!!! People trivialize unhinged violent racism and misogyny and then act surprised when the violence keeps escalating!

It’s not funny.
People need to stop with the stupid memes
My neighbors are Iranian and are in absolute agonizing worry over this.

“do we protect, include, and tolerate people from all backgrounds” is the beating heart and solemn promise of liberalism and I’m convinced people who trivialize it have not reflected on a world without it

When you weaponize transphobia to "get" her, you miss her and hit us.

When you trivialize it as a joke because you would approve of it happening to her: you trivialize what is happening to us. Laugh it up!

I understand Will’s hesitancy. This is a really scary moment and it’s even scarier if you’re deviating from the familiar. I don’t want to trivialize that fear.

But also a lot of the familiar *isn’t* winning us elections. If it was, we wouldn’t be in this position. So I say let’s try something new.

WaPo: Trump has deployed memes and jokes to spin the war in Iran as a major success, but veterans & military families have been "horrified" by these "disturbing" memes that trivialize the sacrifices of service members.

A minor thing: don’t call Musk Elon. First names may trivialize but they also defang. Think of other notable media fascists. We don’t say Joseph, we say Goebbels.

The Holocaust is not unique and comparing it to contemporary genocides and projects of tyranny does not trivialize its horrors or its victims, it strengthens our resolve to refuse its repetition.

I really need to find a new third ability for Kaguya's jetpack. I think Burst is a little too chaotic and a little too powerful, it might trivialize any exploration.

Got no ideas though...

Well *that's* empathetic. Our heart goes out to all the people traumatized by *that* unspeakable act of violence and how dare you trivialize it or refuse to condemn it. Think of how afraid everyone at the fancy ball must've been! Surely, you're thinking about it too!
