Tromerosaurus solumons. It was an Albertosaurine that lived in the Late Cretaceous in what is now Canada.
If you don’t know, the Tyrannosauridae family is broken into two main groups.
Albertosaurinae and Tyrannosaurinae.

Daspletosaurus, which as I stated is a member of the Tyrannosaurinae family.
And that alone is super interesting.
This year has brought so many exciting dino news and I can’t wait to see what else we learn 🦖

Each time I'm at the Mongolian Institute of Paleontology, even I have to admire and drool over the 'baby' Tarbosaurus MPC-D 107/7. Check out the 'chicken wing'-sized articulated arm from this specimen!!!!🤩

Tyrannosaurinae has dinosaurs like T. rex and Daspletosaurus.
Tromerosaurus is closely related to T. rex in the way they are both Tyrannosaurids but its apart of the Albertosaurinae family.
But wait because it gets cooler!

Tromerosaurus solumons is the first time we have an albertosaurine genus that is not Albertosaurus or Gorgosaurus! Or at least probably an albertosaurine (1/7)
