Listened to a TruAnon where Brace and Liz were saying that Twitter feels dead and 90% of all the users were bots and Liz goes “so what do I do, join Bluesky?” and there was a sad moment of stillness and fair enough! I’m not going to say that’s an incorrect feeling! We all have mixed feelings!

There was a TruAnon ep about Mr Beast that talked about how absolutely meticulous, like incredibly impressive, he is about understanding the YouTube algorithm and gearing everything to that from thumbnails to the first words out of his mouth and everything. I wish people could just make cool shit!

Like I’ve listened to them and occasionally thought lol shut the fuck up, but they’ve never made me feel anywhere closer to fascism or bigotry. That’s what TruAnon does because I hear Brace talk about doing meth by a Walmart, that’s what made me into a fascist.

What did he do? He called the people providing verifiable facts “TruAnon”, which the right ran with.

In general the way I select podcasts is that I need a podcast that specifically fits a mood and/or activity and you wouldn’t think “TruAnon if Brace and Liz talked about Venom 3 a lot” would fit a specific need but it definitely does
