#Trumpisms
I genuinely hate how many Trumpisms have worked their way into my daily speech. He operates at the perfect level of buffoonery.
Trump is extremely evil but also unintentionally the funniest man to ever be the president

Democrats dont know how to sell.
Agree with flooding the zone. But you have to flood it in an algorithmic, video clip/soundbites aware manner.

It's not just volume of trumpisms. It's which will be amplified and talked about vs which can be easily countered by blaming the messenger.

Trumpisms?

It's one of my favorite Trumpisms, going back years: the dude cannot shut up about how much disdain he has for soldiers who were wounded or killed.

It's so perfect, first because he thinks it at all, and second because he also thinks it's a totally normal thing to say in public.

“Donald Trump is fond of saying that trade wars are easy to win,” writes William J. Bernstein. “Among the litany of patently false Trumpisms, this may well prove one of the most disastrous”:

A lot of Trumpisms have made their way into our common language. so I'm surprised the baffling construction "I moved on her like a bitch" isn't bigger

This discourse over Trumpisms that have seeped into our everyday lexicon has prompted me to think about other every day sayings we've picked up from other politicians.

For me I thought of:

-Please clap - Jeb Bush
-Fool me once, can't get fooled again - GWB

What are yours?
It seeped into my brain from a sound board on my fav gaming discord.

Also Kamala's "Do not come" occupies a similar space in my brain for the very same reason.

one thing that really defines Trumpism the lived ideology (as opposed to the various Potemkin Trumpisms touted by court philosophers) is the conviction that there are no skills, only sinecures.
what's so funny about Douthat is that he has literally zero experience doing investigative reporting (what 60 MINUTES is known for) — he's just an opinion columnist with a podcast. But he's also incredibly uncharismatic and (sorry) not telegenic! What are we doing here!
