You can get whackier with it than that. Games that use a sideways Wiimote are a cinch, but even GC/Wii level games that don't need analog sticks are easy to adapt to. Stuff like Paper Mario 64/TTYD or Kirby Air Ride are more than playable. You can potentially use touch buttons too if needed.

yeah i REALLY don't get the people who defend it by saying "it was for budget reasons, staying vanilla saved them resources" like no, it took MORE new assets to make a 100%-vanilla M&L game than reuse stuff from DT, TTYD, SPM.
Plus EVERY overworld sprite was new since it was a slightly lower angle.

I think TTYD might’ve been a special case since the remake was released on Switch. I’d be down for the 3DS version being added, but I’m not expecting it, at least not nearly as soon
