This Speyburn is obviously young, quite malty and bready, but with a lovely smoky lemon barley water flavour. Very pleasant. The Murray Cask Strength from Tullibardine is apples, banana, vanilla and cinnamon. Very nice as well. #whisky

Next up #birthdaydram is this #Blackadder Raw Cask 1966 Tullibardine. Distilled a few weeks after I was born, bottled at 36yo. Tbh, this won't be my favourite dram tonight. Despite reasonable ABV it needs water to tone down the sharp domestic cleaner notes. Still, a piece of history nevertheless 🥃❤️

A couple of less common drams tonight. The Tullibardine is apple danish dusted with cocoa powder. The Singleton is more complex, grassy, woody, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla custard, apple, peach and myriad spices. #whisky

This 10 year old Tullibardine is a very nice dram at an attractive price point. Not overly sweet, it works well after a Sunday roast. #whisky
