Hey does this wording feel odd to anyone else. No reference to the Indigenous people of the specific land that Brisbane Festival is held on (Jagera and Turrbul, represent), no reference to leaders, no reference to sovereignty. This feels… odd. Anyone else?

Is the traditional name for Newcastle really Awabakal? I think the ABC has got this wrong and it should be Muloobinba (an Awabakal word), the same way Naarm is a Kulin word and Meanjin a Turrbul and Yuggera word.
