My main goal was to create an accessible, native iOS / iPadOS / macOS app in the style of good old Tweetbot and Twitterific. Over the time I started adding more stuff that I felt was missing such as bookmarks, drafts, an edit function for skeets, user notifications (when someone posts), etc. pp.
and what else is nice is the API is so open you can use other clients if you wish. elon could never, bet he loved pulling that plug on Tweetbot, Twitterific, among others

I hope BlueSky updates their app to support iPad then. I got used to third party apps on the bird site back when they were a thing. Twitterific and Tweetbot made that site usable when their web site was painful. The Tweetbot guys have a great app for Mastodon and are working on one for BlueSky.

Is saved scroll state on the road map? I.e tweetbot or twitterific style where your scroll state stays the same across your various devices? Chronological timeline is harder than it should be when it always scrolls to the most recent.

Irony here is that Twitter basically lifted the bird icon from Iconfactory’s Twitterific mascot “Ollie”

As a holiday gift to myself, I'm muting everything associated with AI, LLMs, etc. I agree with your considered ethical stance, almost certainly, but Bluesky got Twitterific over the last couple weeks, and lately there's a lot of "repost if you're NOT A MONSTER" stuff. That's not why I'm here.

it does, but also, the danger for you of long term subs is like you mentioned, a twitter api shutdown situation, twitterific and tweetbot etc lost a lot in app store refunds. i doubt atproto goes that way, but i understand being cautious early on, like, that’s totally fair!

I am so excited for @phoenix.tapbots.com. The more the 3rd party clients, the merrier. It improves the platform for @bsky.app. Early Twitter days proved this out with Twitterific & Tweetbot clients. I’m using @skeetsapp.com & will continue to support 3rd party clients.

IIRC Twitterific also had this kind of non-standard look, a bit similar? It's kinda why I didn't use it
