On 28 August, the #first #Saab #GripenF took to the skies from #Linköping, #Sweden, marking an important #milestone for the #TwoSeat variant of the latest version of the #JAS39 #fighter.

Developed through #Swedish - #Brazilian #cooperation, the #aircraft now enters #FlightTesting.
Gripen F successfully completes its first flight  —
According to the Swedish manufacturer, the aircraft took off from the company’s airfield in Linköping at 09:40 local time on 28 August 2026, beginning its 40-minute maiden flight.
